The Arachnid gun platform is a static, open turret mounted weapons system. It is essentially a well protected seat with a heavy weapon or heavy artillery attached to it. Mounted on a robust tripod, this equipment is primarily used in a static defence role. This version of the Arachnid gun platform is equipped with a 'Super Minigun' - a twin array version of the normal infantry minigun that delivers a savage rate of fire upon your enemies.
The Arachnid gun platform can be deployed from a drop ship immediately before landing so that the gun platform can clear the area before infantry disembark.
This model also comes with a Hydrissian alien gunner.
